Summary:
A natural pessimist, Rainpaw takes life with a downtrodden outlook. He likes to remind everybody of the cruel truths of the world. He is, in the end, a depressive philosopher. Rainpaw thinks much more than he talks, and tends to influence others and their decisions with his very specific opinions. Most cats, however, appreciate his 'words of wisdom', even if they tend to take dark turns.

When one looks past his depressive philosophy, Rainpaw is a pleasant companion, especially towards calm and shy cats. This is due to his ability to sympathize and not judge others, allowing those he is talking to to fully open up to him. He has plenty of patience for rambles and long stories, and has no difficulty staying focused when others are talking.

He does not, however, integrate well with an energetic crowd. Mischief, fighting, exercise and exploration are not his ball game. He gets bored by and will often wander away from physically demanding tasks. Hunting and training are menial and pointless, in his eyes, and he'll go out of his way to avoid participating. Walking, even, is a chore for him, and he much prefers hanging out in trees.

Rainpaw sympathizes well with she-cats, as, to him, they feel and express more of life's reality than the males who, in his opinion, tend to gloss everything over. He has a fondness for the geometry of flowers, and loves how they smell. He'll often be seen wearing flowers on his head or in his fur, although he'll never put them there himself. Instead, he always waits for a happy-go-lucky cat to think his love of flowers is adorable and start decorating him with them.

Given his calm, easy demeanor, some cats tend to forget that he does indeed care about the actions of others and will act out around him, expecting him to do nothing. Although he tries not to concern himself particularly with what others do, he will scold a naughty kit or tell adults about their bad behavior. As well, he has strong feelings about courtesy, particularly towards females and elders, believing that they should be particularly respected.
